We are happy to be open again! Regular weekly programming has resumed, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9-3:00 and 10am-12noon on Fridays. Check the last page of the newsletter or the calendar for specific days and times. Participants in these activities are no longer required to pre-register by phone; mask-wearing inside is encouraged but not required. However, proof of full vaccination is still mandatory.
Once again, the Danube Seniors Leisure Centre (a.k.a. Bradford West Gwillimbury Seniors Association) will be selling handmade “Gwilly” carrots at Carrotfest on Saturday, August 20th in downtown Bradford. We ask for a minimum donation of $1 per carrot. ALL donations go to Ronald Mc Donald House in Toronto, which has provided assistance to many members of the BWG community. Look for our volunteers walking the streets or hanging out at the Holland Gardens Retirement Community booth.
You are invited to attend the second Car Boot (Trunk) Sale happening in the Danube parking lot at 715 Simcoe Road (behind the blue and yellow church) on Saturday, August 13th, 8 am-1 pm. Vendors must pre-register by phoning 905 775 0612 or emailing email@example.com. Cost of a space is $5/car. A limited number of spots and tables is still available. Bring a carful, take back what you don’t sell.
On Tuesday, June 7th, we were supposed to have an outdoor BBQ luncheon for Seniors and their Careproviders in the parking lot at the Danube Seniors Centre, 715 Simcoe Rd., Bradford, ON. However, the rain forced us indoors for “Say Aloha to Summer”, which was probably better for the Hawaiian Dance Company bare-footed performance! The organizing committee will be meeting soon to plan another event for National Seniors’ Day in October.
